This is the first in an ongoing series of commissioned portraits. It’s funny, Alma and I had recently been discussing how I can start getting some commissioned work, and I mentioned how I really want to be able to do portraits, and soon after we were contacted out of the blue about doing a picture that, typically comes with wedding announcements, as a hand drawn portrait as opposed to the standard photograph.
So, Katie and Dave met with Alma and I and we discussed style and color options, They were great to work with, and I dug their style, so that made it extra easy. Here are a few versions to show you the process:
