This is the first in a series I have decided to take on. I got to thinking, some of my favorite moments in films are the subtle moments that people might not remember exactly, but I recall them as iconic. It’s a very hard thing to explain, so I am just going to say that it is going to be different for everyone.
The first film I chose is absolutely chock full of these moments, The Graduate. I know filmmakers like Wes Anderson in particular, owe a great debt of gratitude to this movie for getting the subtle iconic scenes just right. I may actually do one or two others from this film, but for now I am moving on.
This piece is half traditional medium and half digital. The water is acrylic, and Dustin Hoffman is digital. I didn’t want that slick digital feel to the water, so I took the extra time to do that. I am satisfied with the result.
Stay tuned for further additions to the series.
